Software Validation Engineer

Producing quality software does not happen by itself. Great software companies have great teams and great processes to produce the best quality software. We are a growing Product team in need of more people to help us validate the quality of our software before it reaches the hands of our customers. The best candidates for this role will have the following skills and personality traits:

  • A strong “engineering mindset”. Able to break down problems into smaller pieces and come up with efficient solutions for validating that software correctly implements the original intent
  • Detail-oriented, helping define and document testable “use cases” appropriate for each product feature developed by the Product team
  • Prefer a college degree in an engineering discipline
  • Great communication skills, requires working very closely with computer software developers to specify tests needed to fully validate a feature
  • Process-oriented, able to contribute to refining overall process for greatest efficiency
  • Experience with automated test tools, or writing test scripts, or, ideally, writing code to test code is a bonus, but not required

Gusto Project Implementation Specialist

Bethesda, Maryland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the install and launch process of Gusto POS, beginning with initial customer greeting through the install and launch of Gusto POS
  • Prompt and accurate correspondence with customers and partners via phone, email, and in person if necessary
  • Assist customers with configuration of menus, employees, store settings and other details to ensure their Gusto system is optimized for their specific needs and location
  • Assist customers with periodic hardware and software updates
  • Provide “go live” support and training
  • Assist with demos and troubleshooting and provide clear communication for resolving POS questions
  • Assist customers with basic network questions
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with Gusto POS by taking a proactive approach to managing customer expectations

Requirements:

  • Detail oriented and organized; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build a rapport with customers
  • Punctual and efficient with flexibility in scheduling if necessary
  • Ability to assess, understand, and solve customer problems
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel, up to 50%, to customer sites for installation and training of Gusto POS.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting between 10-40 lbs. (POS equipment)
  • Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office, Windows 10 and basic networking
  • Ability to work full time from our Bethesda, MD head office; must be located within commuting distance
  • Exudes optimism and commitment to our mission of providing the most reliable technology hub for restaurateurs
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 or more years’ experience implementing or managing complex technology and/or software solutions

Preferred but not required:

  • Knowledge of point of sale system design, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry deploying, troubleshooting, using, or maintaining POS systems.

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will generate new business opportunities by following proven processes to prospect into business accounts. You’ll learn how to identify and research lists of companies to target, and how to develop email and telephone campaigns to generate new business opportunities.

The SDR will conduct high-level conversations with senior executives about their business, their marketing issues and their operations. The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical and tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team. This position has advancement potential within the sales organization, and the compensation package includes an uncapped commission structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
  • Strategize with top-producing sales executives and managers
  • Map prospective accounts around organizational structure, people and existing technology
  • Engage executives in targeted prospect accounts
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior execs around their business needs

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have one of the following: software/SaaS experience, sales experience or other related business experience
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
  • The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner
  • Knowledge of Restaurant Operations a plus

The Account Executive is responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities, while also nurturing customer contacts for the purpose of maintaining the customer relationship and driving referral business. Requirements:

  • Experience selling technology and/or software in a SaaS model preferred

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Strong performance under pressure with direct accountability and operating with a sense of urgency
